Beginning Sunday night on May 10 through Friday morning, May 15, portions of McCartney Road will be closed for overnight work from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. 

• May 10 through May 13- McCartney Road from Pinal Avenue to just west of Casa Grande Avenue. During this closure, the three driveway entrances to Fry’s shopping center along McCartney Road will also be inaccessible. Customers and delivery vehicles should use the Pinal Avenue entrance.
• May 13 through May 15- McCartney Road east of the Fry’s driveway to Trekell Road
• May 13 through May 15- Casa Grande Avenue between Lakeside Drive to the intersection of McCartney Road. 

Message boards were deployed on Monday, May 4, notifying the traveling public of planned closures. The roadway will reopen during daytime hours. This work will support construction of waterline laterals as part of the McCartney Road Improvement Project. 

The first segment of the project includes full roadway reconstruction along McCartney Road from Pinal Avenue to Trekell Road. Improvements include removal of existing asphalt and installation of new pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, updated street lighting, and improved signage to enhance safety and traffic flow.

The cost for Segment 1 is $12.3 million.
