CGAlerts: Learn About New Public Safety Investments at Upcoming Open House

Want to learn more about how Casa Grande is working to keep our community safe? Join us for a Public Safety Open House on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Fire Station 503 located at 420 W. Rodeo Road from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This is your chance to connect directly with Police and Fire personnel and City Council, ask questions, and learn about the latest public safety initiatives designed to support our growing community.

At the open house, you can:

  • Learn about new police technologies and fire service plans
  • Tour Fire Station 503
  • Ask questions and share your feedback

Through community feedback, residents have made it clear that public safety matters most. We are listening, and we are acting,” said Mayor Lisa Fitzgibbons.

As part of the Safe City Initiative, the Casa Grande Police Department is implementing new technologies to help prevent crime, improve response times, and enhance investigations. These tools include License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras, Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras for real-time awareness, a Drone as First Responder program for aerial support, a Gunshot Detection System, and the FlockOS platform to integrate technologies for more efficient operations.

These tools will allow us to better protect our community while enhancing the safety and effectiveness of our officers,” said Police Chief, Mark McCrory.

Concurrently, the Casa Grande Fire Department is planning for the future by addressing increased demand for emergency services. With the city projected to grow by approximately four percent over the next five years, the relocation of Fire Station 501 is being evaluated to ensure response times remain strong in high-demand areas.

Fire Station 501 is currently our busiest station, and the existing facility no longer meets the needs of our community,” said Fire Chief, Dave Kean. “Relocating the station will help us stay ahead of growth and continue providing fast, reliable emergency response.”

We encourage residents to join us, learn more, and be part of the conversation.
