New Bern: Burn Permit Means You May See/Smell Smoke
A land clearing burn permit has been issued for the Magnolia Reserve Phase I project located on County Line Road. This permit begins on May 15, 2026, and is valid through July 15, 2026. Residents can expect to see burning and smell smoke during this time. A permit has also been issued by the NC Forest Service. New Bern Fire-Rescue staff have also been alerted to this permit and stand ready to respond, along with our Forest Service partners, should an emergency occur.
