Public Works crews alerted us to the temporary closing of Cedar Street between Bern & West streets. Piedmont Natural Gas is repairing a main distribution line, which is taking longer than expected. Piedmont has mobilized a specialized welding team to complete the repair. They anticipate they'll be done in the next few days with asphalt restoration in the coming weeks. Residents will have access to their properties but thru traffic is closed. Please find another route while repairs are being completed.
