New Bern: Overnight Fire on Plymouth Drive
At approximately 10:10pm last night, February 11, 2026, fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1109 Plymouth Drive. Firefighters arrived in about 3 minutes to find smoke showing from a single-story brick home. One person was home at the time, and they were able to get out of the home safely.
The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes and extinguished in 30 minutes. The home sustained significant smoke and fire damage. The fire originated in a rear bedroom and is still under investigation.
