Navigating New Bern During this Weekend's Holiday Events
🚓𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧: this weekend is crazy busy with downtown events, so this is your heads up to pack your patience. Several streets will be closed: each event & closure is listed below. Additionally, there will be holiday markets set up on various downtown lots (no street closures, but definitely extra foot traffic!). Please plan accordingly & plan extra time to get to your destination.
🏃➡️ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲: 5am-noon, S. Front Street between Walt Bellamy & Metcalf
🛻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗽: 7:30am-1pm, 400-800 blocks of George Street
🎅🏻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲: 9:30am-1pm, 300 block of George, 200-600 blocks of Pollock & 300 block of E. Front Street
As a reminder, free all day parking is available at the Red Bear Lot (south end of Craven Street), the Black Bear Lot (New & Hancock streets), and the Brown Bear Lot (Pollock & Fleet streets). Paid parking for $1/hour or $8/day is available at the corner of Craven & Pollock Streets.
And don't forget Saturday night (starting at 5:30pm) is the Coastal Christmas Flotilla at Union Point Park! Above all, be safe & enjoy the weekend. We look forward to seeing you during this festive time of year!
