The dates for the Spring 2026 season of New Bern 101 have been announced. This 10-week program kicks off at the end of February & wraps up in April. New Bern 101 introduces participants to local government with focused, weekly sessions featuring each city department. Meet staff, tour city buildings & projects, learn the responsibilities of local government & the challenges of running a $165 million organization with nearly 500 staff. New Bern 101 is a free program. Sessions are held from 4pm-7pm. Participants who attend all sessions graduate with a certificate of completion. We are still accepting applications for the Spring 2026 season. Visit www.newbernnc.gov/newbern101 to learn more about the program & download an application.
