Bond Referendum Public Meeting Thursday, September 25
Join us Thursday, September 25 from 4pm-7pm for our drop-in style public meeting on the 2025 General Obligation Bond Referendum. The meeting will be held at West New Bern Recreation Center, 1225 Pine Tree Drive. This meeting is intended to educate and inform city residents about the bond ahead of the October election (early voting started September 18). Bring your questions, share your concerns, & learn more about the three bonds and the proposed projects within Streets & Sidewalks ($10 million), Parks & Recreation ($8 million) and Stormwater ($6 million).
There are two opportunities left to attend a public meeting to learn more about the referendum: Thursdays meeting and the Tuesday, September 30 meeting from 4pm-7pm at the New Bern Mall (3134 MLK Jr Boulevard). Please add these dates to your calendar and plan to attend one ahead of the election.
