**UPDATE** Missing teen has been located!
On Saturday, August 1, 2025, Joyce Albino was reunited with her father in East Palo Alto. After several days of developing and following leads, a detective with the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Team (DVSA) learned Joyce was likely in Redwood City. Redwood City Police Department personnel and the FBI assisted our detectives throughout the night in developing leads and searching for Joyce. After as the investigation progressed, it was determined Joyce had left the city and went to a residence in East Palo Alto. With the assistance of the East Palo Alto Police Department, Joyce was located safe in their city early this afternoon and immediately reunited with her father.
It was because of the Albino family’s diligence and determination that we were able to access the information that allowed us to determine Joyce’s likely whereabouts, and it was because of the tireless overnight and early morning efforts of the Redwood City Police Department and FBI that Joyce was located. Thank you also to the East Palo Alto Police Department for their assistance in safely locating Joyce. We are extremely grateful for the assistance and partnership of all involved.
Out of respect for the family’s privacy, no additional details about this investigation will be released.
SRPD case number 25-8390.

SRPD is seeking help in locating a missing teen
On July 23, 2025, the parents of Joyce Kristin Albino, a 15-year-old resident of Santa Rosa, reported Joyce missing and as of today, Joyce has still not been located. Joyce was last seen on the SRJC Petaluma campus at approximately 11:00 am on July 22, 2026, when she was dropped off by one of her parents. When the parent returned at approximately 1:00 pm to pick her up, he learned that Joyce had left class halfway through, leaving behind her personal property.
The Petaluma Police Department conducted an initial missing person’s investigation, which uncovered numerous leads, however none have led to Joyce’s whereabouts as of yet. Due to Joyce being a resident of Santa Rosa, the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) has assumed the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, it is not believed that Joyce went missing under suspicious circumstances; however, there have been numerous possible sightings of Joyce by her acquaintances throughout the Bay Area, and we think with the community’s help, we can locate Joyce.
Joyce is approximately 5-feet tall, weighing about 115 pounds. She has black hair which may be dyed red, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black “Pro Club” hoodie and grey bike shorts. Possible sightings include San Rafael, San Francisco, and Redwood City.
If you know of Joyce’s current whereabouts, please contact the Santa Rosa Police Department non-emergency line at 707-528-5222 or the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over her location. If you have information that may assist in locating Joyce, you are encouraged to contact SRPD Detective Luigi Valencia at 707-543-4045 or lvalencia@srcity.org.
