SRPD News Release: SRPD Celebrates 27 Graduates of the Youth Community Police Experience

SRPD Celebrates 27 Graduates of the Youth Community Police Experience

The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) proudly congratulates the 27 outstanding teens who have successfully completed the 2025 Youth Community Police Experience (YCPE). This immersive, four-day program offered local youth a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of modern law enforcement.

Designed for Santa Rosa teens ages 14–18, YCPE provides a dynamic, hands-on introduction to police operations. Participants engaged in real-world training activities, including patrol procedures, investigations, defensive tactics, and emergency vehicle operations. Led by experienced SRPD personnel, the program fosters transparency, trust, and mutual understanding between youth and law enforcement.

Throughout the week, students participated in interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and team-building exercises that emphasized the values of service, integrity, and accountability. Graduates leave the program with a deeper appreciation for public safety work and are encouraged to share their experiences with peers, family, and the broader community.

The SRPD congratulates all 27 graduates for their enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment to learning. Their participation reflects the strength and potential of Santa Rosa’s next generation of leaders!
