Cocaine Trafficker Arrested Following Lengthy Investigation by SRPD Narcotics Team
In April 2024, detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) Narcotics Team began an investigation into a local cocaine trafficker. The involved person was identified as 33-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Issac Elias Romero.
On 07/18/24, at approximately 5:00 pm, SRPD detectives and a patrol officer detained Romero in the 1500 block of Guerneville Road, Santa Rosa, pursuant to a search warrant. Detectives then responded to the 400 block of El Portal Way, Santa Rosa, and executed the service of a search warrant at that residence.
Detectives searched the residence pursuant to the search warrant and located approximately three ounces of suspected cocaine, clean packaging materials, and a digital scale in a bag on the floor of the kitchen. The bag was unsecured and easily accessible to Romero’s 6-year-old child. Romero’s child was not home at the time and is currently in the care of a relative.
Romero was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for the following violations:
- 11351 H&S – Possession of a Narcotic for Sale
- 273a(a) PC – Child Endangerment
Romero’s bail was set at $500,000.00.
