Home Invasion Robbery Results in the Arrest of Two Santa Rosa Men
On Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 9:50 a.m., Santa Rosa Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1800 block of Waltzer Road for a home invasion robbery that had just occurred. When officers arrived, they located two adult male victims inside the residence. They were tied up by the suspect and uninjured.Officers freed the victims and learned they were just robbed by an adult male at gunpoint. The suspect entered the residence, tied up the victims, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect also stole one of the victim’s vehicles as he fled and abandoned it on a nearby street. Responding officers searched the area for the suspect but he was not located.
The Violent Crimes Investigation Team responded and took over the investigation while Field and Evidence Technicians processed the scene. Investigators were able to locate video surveillance of the suspect as he fled the scene and later identified him as, Agustin Anguiano-Soto, a 61-year-old Santa Rosa resident.
On the afternoon of May 30, 2024, investigators located Anguiano-Soto driving a vehicle in Rohnert Park. Santa Rosa Police Patrol Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of his vehicle in the area of Dowdell Avenue and Golf Course Drive West. Anguiano-Soto was arrested without incident and evidence related to the robbery was located in the vehicle.
Anguiano-Soto was later booked into Sonoma County Jail for the following charges:
- Penal Code 212.5(a) – First Degree Robbery
- Penal Code 236 – False Imprisonment
- Penal Code 459 – Residential Burglary
- Vehicle Code 10851(a) – Motor Vehicle Theft
On Tuesday, June 3, 2024, at 1:05 p.m., investigators located Uribe-Villafana in the area of Flower Avenue and Santa Rosa Avenue in Santa Rosa. He was arrested by Santa Rosa Police Patrol Officers and search warrants were served at his residence in the 300 block of Flower Avenue.
Uribe-Villafana was later booked into Sonoma County Jail for the following charges:
- Penal Code 212.5(a) – First Degree Robbery
- Penal Code 236 – False Imprisonment
- Penal Code 459 – Residential Burglary
- Penal code 182(a) – Conspiracy to Commit Robbery
- Penal Code 1203.2 – Violation of Probation
