Santa Rosa Police Checkpoint results
Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday May 31, 2024, no drivers were arrested for DUI.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Highway 12 and Streamside Drive from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
24 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 2 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 1061 vehicles were contacted and 18 drivers were evaluated for DUI. 1 driver was arrested for being in violation of felony probation and drug possession.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
