SRPD Narcotics Investigations Team wraps up 2023 with big numbers

The Santa Rosa Police Department (SPRD) Narcotics Investigations Team diligently works to combat illegal drug trafficking, transporting, manufacturing, and sales of dangerous narcotics such as heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl. Narcotics detectives also conduct complicated financial and asset forfeiture investigations involving money laundering and financial structuring operations meant to hide illegal drug proceeds. Additionally, the team tracks and investigates overdose deaths in Santa Rosa with the intent to find those responsible for selling the illegal narcotics resulting in the overdose deaths.

The four detectives and one sergeant assigned to this teamwork in an undercover capacity to conduct long and complicated investigations, often resulting in the disruption of extensive criminal networks. In 2023, the SRPD Narcotics Investigations Team conducted numerous narcotics investigations resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of various narcotics and controlled substances, United States currency, and firearms.
