Reminder: Two Upcoming E-Bike Safety Community Meetings
This is a reminder that the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) and the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will be hosting two upcoming community meetings focused on e-bike safety, education, and the law.
As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity among students and families, understanding how to ride safely and legally is more important than ever. These meetings are designed to help parents, caregivers, students, and community members better understand the responsibilities that come with e-bike use and the steps we can all take to prevent crashes and serious injuries.
Attendees will learn about:
- California e-bike laws and classifications
- Helmet requirements and age restrictions
- Common violations and enforcement trends
- How to determine whether an e-bike is legal and appropriate for your child's age
- Practical safety tips for riders and families
Representatives from SRPD and the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will be available to answer questions and discuss safety concerns affecting our community.
Choose the date and location that works best for you:
- OCT. 15th at 6:00 p.m.: Piner High School, Performing Arts Center, 1700 Fulton Rd.
- OCT. 22nd at 6:00 p.m.: Maria Carrillo High School, Performing Arts Theatre, 6975 Montecito Blvd.
