Back to School Means Extra Traffic and Extra Traffic Enforcement!
During the week of August 14th through August 18th, when most Santa Rosa City Schools were back in session, Officers from the SRPD Motor Team, Accident Investigator Team and additional Patrol Officers, conducted specified education and enforcement efforts. These efforts focused on schools throughout the city of Santa Rosa.
Here are some of our statistics from this enforcement effort!
Monday August 14th: 9 Citations issued.
In total, 85 citations were issued for distracted driver violations and speeding violations. Traffic officers were able to be a visible presence at approximately 23 different schools within the City of Santa Rosa. These statistics reflect just the morning enforcement efforts dedicated to the schools.
Our Motor Team will be increasing enforcement efforts at the schools, twice weekly, during the school year and also responding to complaints as they arise.
