Traffic Collision Downs Power Lines; Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI
On July 4, 2026, at approximately 6:25 p.m., Santa Rosa Police Department officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Bluebell Drive and Coffey Lane. Upon arrival, officers observed that a vehicle had struck a power pole, bringing down power lines in the area. As a precaution, a section of the roadway was closed to protect the public while PG&E crews work to safely repair the downed lines.Following an investigation at the scene, officers developed evidence that the driver was impaired. Maira Reyna Sancen Ramirez, age 50, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), VC 23152(a)(b) V.C.
Residents and businesses are asked to avoid the area of Bluebell Drive and Coffey Lane until repairs are complete and the roadway reopens.
