Santa Rosa Police Department DUI Checkpoint Results
Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday June 19, 2026, 3 drivers were arrested for DUI.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Stony Point Road and Stony Circle from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
24 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 4 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 830 vehicles were contacted, and 10 drivers were evaluated for DUI. One driver was additionally arrested for failing to have an interlock device installed in his vehicle, one driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a BAC above .01% while on DUI probation, one subject was arrested for violation of probation, and two drivers were cited for child car seat violations.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
