SRPD News Release: Santa Rosa Police Arrest Two for DUI at DUI Checkpoint
Santa Rosa Police Department Checkpoint Results
Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday May 15th, 2026, 2 drivers were arrested for DUI.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Piner Road and Coffey Lane from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
10 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 2 drivers was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 1107 vehicles were contacted, and 6 drivers were evaluated for DUI. One driver was arrested for suspected felony child abuse.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
