Community Advisory Regarding Potential Traffic Impacts on March 28th

The Santa Rosa Police Department would like to make community members aware of temporary roadway closures and potential traffic delays associated with the No Kings III protest planned for Saturday, March 28th.

To support public safety, the following temporary street closures are scheduled from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM:

  • 4th Street at B Street
  • 4th Street at D Street
  • Mendocino Avenue at 5th Street (south of the intersection)

These closures are being implemented proactively to create a safer environment for the demonstration attendees and those visiting downtown Santa Rosa, including individuals dining, shopping, and enjoying the area.

Community members should also be aware of possible traffic delays in the surrounding area, particularly:

  • Mendocino Avenue, including travel from the Santa Rosa Junior College area
  • Santa Rosa Avenue, including travel from the Juilliard Park area

Motorists traveling through or near Downtown Santa Rosa are encouraged to plan for extra time and remain attentive to posted signage and direction from traffic control personnel.

If the event concludes earlier than anticipated and conditions allow, roadways will be reopened and barricades removed as soon as it is safe to do so.

“We are committed to providing a safe environment for our community to exercise their First Amendment rights while also supporting residents, businesses, and visitors who are enjoying downtown Santa Rosa,” said Chief John Cregan. “To support this effort, the Santa Rosa Police Department is allocating additional officers to address traffic safety concerns and help ensure a safe experience for our community.”

We appreciate the community’s cooperation and patience as we work together to keep everyone safe.
