Santa Rosa Police Department Detectives Investigating Shooting on Dutton Meadow – One Person in Serious but Stable Condition

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:16 pm, the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Communications Center received multiple phone calls regarding a shooting in the 2900 block of Dutton Meadow, in Santa Rosa. The citizens reported seeing one victim lying on the sidewalk on the east side of the roadway.

Several officers were dispatched to the scene of the shooting. Officers located the victim on the east sidewalk of Dutton Meadow, south of Boron Avenue. Officers searched the area, but no suspect was located. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses.

The victim is an 18-year-old male and a Santa Rosa resident. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in serious but stable condition. Based on the nature of the crime, no additional information about the victim will be released.

Detectives from the SRPD Violent Crime Team have taken over the investigation. The motive and circumstances of the shooting are currently under investigation by the SRPD Violent Crimes Team. A reward up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible.
