Pedestrian struck by vehicle in hit-and-run collision

On December 30, 2022, at 7:15 PM., Santa Rosa Police Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call regarding a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the 300-block of Yolanda Avenue. The caller reported they witnessed the victim being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene eastbound on Yolanda Avenue. 

Santa Rosa Police Officers responded to the scene and located the victim down in the roadway, suffering from life threatening injuries. The victim, who will not be identified at this time, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Officers from the Santa Rosa Police Traffic unit resonded to take over the investigation. During the course of their investigation, the officers learned that an unknown make and model white pick-up truck with tool boxes on the bed, struck the victim and fled the area. 

At this time, SRPD Traffic officers are continuing to investigate the incident and are looking for anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that would assist with the case.  Anyone with information about the investigation is encouraged to contact Officer Mieger at 707-543-8422.
