Santa Rosa, Calif. – On Friday December 16th, 2022, 3 drivers were arrested for DUI.

The Santa Rosa Police Department held a DUI checkpoint at Guerneville Rd and Ridley Ave, on 12/16/22 from 8:00 p.m. until 02:00 a.m.

29 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 1 driver was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 706 vehicles were contacted and 12 drivers were evaluated for DUI. 1 driver was arrested for operating a vehicle without a court ordered ignition interlock device in violation of 23247(e) VC.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
