Unwanted Guest Arrested After Resisting Officers

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 4:42 p.m., Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) officers responded to a business in the 1900 block of Santa Rosa Avenue for a report of an unwanted guest who was refusing to leave the business.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the individual, identified as 32-year-old Tasha Holt from Santa Rosa, inside the store. Holt had been asked by staff to leave the premises and had repeatedly refused. Officers engaged Holt in conversation for approximately 15 minutes in an effort to de-escalate the situation and gain voluntary compliance. Throughout the interaction, Holt made incoherent statements and refused to answer questions.

During the investigation, officers learned that Holt had two active misdemeanor warrants out of Sonoma County for her arrest. Officers attempted to take Holt into custody. Holt immediately began resisting and fighting with officers.

During the struggle, Holt damaged an officer’s equipment, including breaking his Taser holster, dislodging a magazine from its pouch, and changing the channel on his radio. Holt also broke a different officer’s body-worn camera mount, causing the camera to fall to the ground. Holt assaulted officers by forcefully grabbing them and attempting to kick them.

After a prolonged struggle, officers were able to bring Holt to the ground and place her in handcuffs. Holt was escorted to a patrol vehicle and transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation before being booked into the Sonoma County Jail on her outstanding warrants and on a new charge of Resisting an Executive Officer (69 PC).

An involved officer was treated for injuries sustained during the incident at a local hospital and released.

Santa Rosa Police Department case number 25-12494.
