SRPD News Release: Search Warrant Leads to Large Fentanyl Seizure
Search Warrant Leads to Large Fentanyl Seizure
In September 2025, the Santa Rosa Police Department Narcotics Team began an investigation into a local fentanyl trafficker who was distributing large quantities of suspected fentanyl pills in Santa Rosa and its surrounding areas. Detectives identified the fentanyl trafficker to be 32-year-old Santa Rosa resident, Coolidge Sledge.
On 10/2/25, at approximately 1030 hours, detectives detained Sledge, pursuant to a search warrant, on Sendero Ln, Santa Rosa. Detectives then executed the service of a search warrant in the 1500 block of Sendero Ln. During a search of that location, detectives located approximately 5,500 suspected fentanyl pills (counterfeit 30mg Oxycodone) and a small amount of suspected cocaine. The estimated street value of the suspected fentanyl pills is approximately $50,000.00.
Two milligrams of fentanyl is considered a lethal dose. Each of the pills are considered to be at least one lethal dose and could be more depending on the amount of fentanyl in each pill.
Sledge was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail for a violation of 11351 H&S – Possession of a Narcotic for Sale.
A bail enhancement was obtained, and Sledge’s bail was set at $300,000.00.
