Officers arrest DUI driver in possession of two firearms
At approximately 12:35 PM on September 6, 2025, Santa Rosa Police officers were dispatched to a call of a man with a gun. He was reportedly walking around inside his residence with a gun to his head, near the 1000 block of Spenlow Rd. As officers were responding to the residence, the man reportedly drove away in his blue Toyota Coupe. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. They contacted the driver and found him to be in possession of a loaded, concealed firearm.
The driver, Casey Eugene Jones, a 45-year-old Santa Rosa resident, displayed objective symptoms of intoxication. Officers evaluated him for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and determined he was intoxicated.
Jones submitted to a chemical test which revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was more than four times the legal limit of .08%. Officers also located a second firearm in the trunk of the vehicle. Neither firearm was registered to Jones.
Jones was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail for the following offenses:

23152(a) VC – Driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage (DUI).

23152(b) VC – DUI with a BAC of .08 percent or higher.

25850(c)(6) PC – Carrying a loaded firearm while not the registered owner.

25850(a) PC – Carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
-
25400(a)(1) PC – Carrying a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle.
