Lebanon, NH: Mechanic/Mascoma/High Street Roundabout Project - Construction Update - Week of 4/13/2026
Fairway Electric will continue removing existing utility poles, installing new ones, and transferring Liberty’s utilities. They will contact individual property owners directly if any power outages are expected.
Placement of Jersey barriers and temporary line striping is scheduled for Monday (4/13) or Tuesday (4/14), weather permitting. This work includes street sweeping on the north side of Mechanic Street, placing barriers near the 1 Mechanic Street driveway (formerly Napa Auto Parts), and applying temporary white fog lines and double-yellow centerline striping. Please use caution in the work zone and follow flagger instructions.
Additionally, in preparation for roundabout construction, the south side of the Mascoma Street sidewalk (Eastman Automotive side) will be temporarily detoured to the north side (Tanglez N Tanz side) between Granite Street and the crosswalk to the Mascoma River Greenway.
Once this work is completed, the Mechanic/Mascoma/High Street Roundabout construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, April 27, 2026, and continue until a winter shutdown around Thanksgiving 2026. Final paving and project cleanup will resume in spring 2027, with anticipated project completion by May 14, 2027.
