A Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) advisory was issued on 6/21/24 for the following Lake Anna segment: Upper North Anna Branch - From the upper inundated waters of the North Anna arm, to include the “Sandbar” of the lake and downstream to the Rt. 522 Bridge.

Avoid swimming, fishing or letting your children or pets play in bodies of water that:
• Smell bad
• Look discolored
• Have foam, scum, or algal mats on the surface
