Washington County remains under a Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service overnight into early Monday morning. Heavy rain is expected to continue. Areas of the county have already experienced localized flooding. Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, never drive through flooded roadways, and remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown! 


The American Red Cross has established a temporary overnight shelter at Chuckey-Doak Middle School, 120 Chuckey Doak Road, Afton, TN for residents and families who have been directly impacted or displaced by severe weather. Overnight accommodations are available tonight. Pets are welcome but must be secured in a carrier.
