Water service returns to Southern Washington County

Update for the Evening of Dec. 29:

Jonesborough Utility Department crews have been working tirelessly to help our people get water back, and we have had success with Bumpus Cove/Embreeville/Highway 107 areas with 1,000 homes being back on water. Our crews are not stopping and are advancing to the Conklin Road and Washington College areas to turn water on tonight.

With these two areas, we should have 1,500 additional customers coming on line tonight.
That’s in addition to the 1,000 that regained service in the Bumpus Cove/Embreeville/Highway 107 area crews restored water to today.

Crews will be in the Conklin Road and Washington College area turning on water tonight.
Residents are encouraged to be home this evening as crews will walk and check meters.
We also ask that folks use caution in that area when driving.
