Still time to register for Beyond Boundaries Adaptive Swim Program

(Kirksville, MO) - There are still a few days left to register for the Beyond Boundaries Adaptive Swim Program, with practices beginning later this week. This adaptive swim program is designed to meet the needs of athletes with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities.

Swimmers should be comfortable in the water and able to swim one length of the pool using a stroke or a modified stroke, with or without assistance. This program provides structured, individualized swim instruction with the long-term goal of preparing participants to compete in future competitions.

Beyond Boundaries practices will be held at the Kirksville Aquatic Center every Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm, beginning on October 16 and continuing through November 20. The program costs $36 for Kirksville Aquatic Center members and $66 for non-members.

Register today at Kirksville.gov/p/rec-login or in person at the Kirksville Aquatic Center. Scholarships are also available. Scholarship applications can be found at Kirksville.gov/p/parks-recreation under the ‘Scholarship Program’ Tab.
