Section of Cottage Grove Avenue to close for sewer repair

(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville wants to make residents aware of upcoming utility work that will prompt a street closure.

On Wednesday, October 7, an excavation for a sewer main repair will start on Cottage Grove Avenue, between East Illinois Street and East Harrison Street. As a result, this area will be closed from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. The street will reopen during the evening, overnight, and early morning hours. Construction is expected to take approximately two days, depending on weather.

The traveling public is encouraged to use caution and drive slowly in construction areas. Please pay attention to signage and personnel. Also, please use alternate routes if you need to drive through this area.
