Wading pools to close for the season

(Kirksville, MO) - The Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department wants to inform residents that the community wading pools will close for the season on Sunday, August 16. As new school years begin in the area, most of our seasonal staff have left or will be starting classes soon. That means we don’t have enough lifeguards to ensure patron safety and enjoyment at the wading pools.

As a reminder, the P.C. Mills Park Splash Pad remains open through September. If you haven’t made it over to check out that awesome new amenity, this is a great chance to try it out. The splash pad is open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

And patrons still have a few weeks left to enjoy the Kirksville Aquatic Center’s Water Park, with August 23 being its last day for the season.
