City recognizes Bruce Darr on retirement after 23 years

(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville congratulates Bruce Darr on his retirement after 23 years and two months of service.

Darr began his career with the City of Kirksville on April 17, 2003, as a seasonal maintenance worker for the Public Works Department and became a full-time employee on June 22, 2003. In February 2004, he transitioned to the Utility Maintenance Division as a maintenance worker. Darr was promoted to Equipment Operator in March 2013 and has maintained his position since that time.

As an Equipment Operator, Darr has played a key role in improving the City's water infrastructure. He has helped install several miles of water main, hundreds of fire hydrants, and numerous water valves, contributing to the reliable delivery of water services for the community. He was also reliable and available if there was ever an emergency fix needed in the middle of the night.

Darr’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact. His knowledge, experience, and dependable work ethic will be greatly missed by his coworkers and all who have had the pleasure of working alongside him.

The City of Kirksville thanks Darr for his service to the community and wishes him well in his next endeavors.
