Kirksville Regional Airport passes annual inspection with perfect score
(Kirksville, MO) - The City of Kirksville is happy to share that Kirksville Regional Airport passed its annual Part 139 Certification inspection with no discrepancies. This milestone is a testament to the airport staff’s commitment to excellence in safety, maintenance, groundskeeping, and operations.
Kirksville Regional Airport frequently receives high marks during this inspection, but a perfect inspection is a rare and significant feat.
The Part 139 inspection is a multi-day, comprehensive process done by the Federal Aviation Administration. The inspection covers a wide range of areas, including record-keeping, runway markings, firefighting capabilities, lighting, wildlife hazard management, fuel equipment, and more.
“Our commitment to meeting these strict federal standards ensures that every flight and passenger receives the highest standard of aviation services at Kirksville Regional Airport,” said Airport Director Jeff Lafountain.
