Repairs on section of East Porter Street to begin September 8

(Kirksville, MO) - On September 8, 2025, Stanton Contracting LLC. will begin road construction for the City on East Porter Street, from North Green Street to North Florence Street. This project involves the replacement of concrete curbs and slabs in large sections of the area.

The road will be closed completely from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm; however, one lane of travel will remain open overnight. The road construction will make travel in the area difficult at times, so please limit any unnecessary travel and use alternative routes in the area. No parking will be allowed along the roads or in the right-of-way during construction. Residents in this area, please anticipate driveway closures during the construction and make other parking arrangements.

The work is expected to be completed by September 26, depending on weather.
