* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* Until 530 PM MST.

* At 454 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Phoenix
International Raceway, or over Avondale, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
Phoenix, Glendale, Avondale, Goodyear, Paradise Valley, Tolleson,
Laveen, Cashion, Sun City, Litchfield Park, Glendale Sports
Complex, Arizona State Fairgrounds, Phoenix International Raceway,
Downtown Peoria, and Downtown Phoenix.

This includes the following highways...
AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 129 and 148.
AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 196 and 211.
AZ Route 51 between mile markers 1 and 6.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
