Flood Warning issued October 12 at 9:33AM MST until October 12 at 11:00AM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Arizona, including the
following county, Maricopa.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 933 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
New River and Skunk Creek.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Phoenix, Glendale and Arrowhead Mall.

Instructions

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
