Dear 5th Street Businesses,

This morning, a contractor began work on 5th Street without prior notice to the City or to local stakeholders. We understand this was unexpected and may raise concerns about its impact on your operations. We are actively working with the contractor to provide a schedule as soon as possible and to ensure the work proceeds with minimal disruption.

As part of this work, parking stalls are being lengthened to improve overall traffic flow along 5th Street. Please note that only one section of parking will be closed at a time, and only while active work is taking place in that area. Street access and sidewalks will remain open throughout this phase of the project, and we anticipate minimal disruption to daily business operations.
