Horseshoe Bay: Coffee with a Cop is This Thursday (June 11) at 9 a.m.!

Local residents will have a unique opportunity to meet and chat with officers from the Horseshoe Bay Police Department at their inaugural Coffee with a Cop event, which will take place on Thursday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at City Center Council Chambers (9101 W. FM 2147).
Coffee with a Cop is well known nationally as an initiative designed to break down barriers and foster meaningful, one-on-one dialogue between law enforcement officers and the citizens they serve. Most interactions between the public and police occur during stressful emergencies or crisis situations, which are not ideal for building relationships. This event removes those barriers, offering a neutral, relaxed environment where residents can speak directly with officers and get to know them.
Residents are welcome to drop in at any point during the event. Attendees can ask about local traffic laws, voice safety concerns, or learn more about the department’s daily work in the community. Free coffee, as well as pastries, will be provided.
The police department plans to host these gatherings regularly throughout the year at varying times and locations to accommodate different resident schedules. The city will share information about these events in the Beacon, on social media, and on the city’s website under the Police Department page (www.horseshoe-bay-tx.gov/police).
