Crescent View Community Open House

The City of Sandy invites all residents to participate in an important community conversation about the future of the Crescent View Middle School property and to share their ideas for how this unique site could serve our community for generations to come.

Located adjacent to Crescent Park, the approximately 17-acre property includes more than 128,000 square feet of existing building space and substantial open land in one of Sandy’s most established neighborhoods. Opportunities of this size, location, and potential rarely become available in a built-out city.


The City is exploring the possibility of acquiring the property, creating a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a lasting community asset. The site could support a wide range of future uses, including expanded parks and open space, recreational amenities, arts and cultural venues, business innovation and entrepreneurship programs, childcare services, community gathering spaces, and other uses that benefit residents throughout Sandy.

Before any decisions are made, the City wants to hear directly from the community. Resident input will play a critical role in evaluating the possibilities and determining whether this investment aligns with Sandy’s long-term vision and priorities.

We encourage all residents to attend one of two upcoming community open houses to learn more about this opportunity, review conceptual ideas, ask questions, and provide feedback. Your perspective will help guide how this unique property could best serve Sandy today and in the future.
