Photo Contest - April 10-23

We all need water to survive! What are some ways that water is important or meaningful in your life? For this year’s Water Week, we’re asking you to think about the ways water connects us all, from our family and friends to the Great Salt Lake. Show off your photography skills and your love for water by participating in our photo contest. Submit your photos from April 10-23. The winners will be announced on April 27 and will receive a water bill credit.

Utah Water Savers

Looking to save water on your sod? Thinking of tearing out your turfgrass? Tired of sprinkler tinkering?

Whether you’re seeking to save water, reduce maintenance, or change up your landscape, we’re here to help! Sandy residents are eligible for waterwise landscape rebates. Eligible projects may receive between $2-$3 per square foot of turf replaced with waterwise landscaping. Before you pick up the shovel, head to www.utahwatersavers.com to learn about project requirements and fill out an application. We’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible! Once your application is approved, you may begin your project.

In the meantime, check out these helpful resources for starting your project: free waterwise landscaping classes: sandy.utah.gov/1814, waterwise landscaping for Utah: www.localscapes.com
