Dear Sandy Resident,

In one year, Sandy will open its newly rebuilt recreation center, a modern facility designed to serve our community for generations to come. As construction continues, we invite you to help shape the future of this space by sharing your input on its official name.

For more than 40 years, the original Alta Canyon Sports Center served as a place for recreation, wellness, and connection. As we look ahead to the grand opening of the new facility in January 2027, we want its name to reflect Sandy’s identity, history, and vision for the future.

The City is gathering community feedback on several proposed names, and your input will help guide the Mayor and City Council as they consider a final recommendation.

The public feedback survey is now open and will remain available through March 11, 2026. Participating takes only a few minutes, and all responses will be summarized and shared with elected officials before a final decision is made.
