Oracle down, training hours change
Greetings Crossing Guards,
There are two alerts that have developed this morning that affect the time entry process.
One is that there is a gateway block to the external link. Which means that if you are trying to enter your time from home (or anywhere outside of the computer lab) the "employer portal" link will not work. There is no time given by IT as to when the portal will be back up for external log in to Oracle. As all guards are expected to come into Edgewater today for the mandatory ICE meeting, if IT is not able to fix the issue, you will need to come to the computer lab during either the AM or PM time slots to enter your time.
Two is that the end timing for the ICE Training is changing. I wrote yesterday that the training would be 3 hrs from 3:30 to 6:30. Now it is the same start time of 3:30 but will end earlier, at 5:15, for a total of 1 hr and 45 minutes). As such please see the new hours you will be adding to your time entry per below:
Every Guard that attends and completes the live training is approved to add the appropriate amount of hours to their time entries for completing the training and for their travel time as stated below.
No matter which of the 3 options above you choose, no single day should exceed 8 hours of Regular TPT. Please distribute these extra hours accordingly

- If you come into Edgewater, during the AM session from 10:30 to Noon, and you return to attend the ICE training at 3:30PM, you will be adding 4 hours (2 hrs. for travel, and 2 hrs. for training).
- If you come into Edgewater, during the PM session from 1:30 to 3:30PM, and you stay to attend the training at 3:30PM, you will be adding 3 hours (1hr. for travel, and 2 hrs. for training).
- If you do not come into Edgewater to enter your time, but only to attend the mandatory ICE Training, you will be adding 3 hours (1hr. for travel, and 2 hrs. for training).
