Parking at Edgewater during Time Entry

Greetings Crossing Guards,

If you are viewing this message as a text you must click the link at the bottom to access the complete message.

This message only pertains to those Guards who drive to Edgewater to use the Computer Lab (for time entry, pick up pay stubs, print out forms, etc).

So here we are squarely into the new year and it seems as if we have forgotten how to park without causing notice and complaints.

So the following are the parking instructions that should make things all better:

There is no parking in the main yard (the entrance at the Guard Shack) except for those with valid, unexpired disabled placards to show the Guard. Also it is best to have on your vest and cap or beanie. The following are the instructions to get cleared by the Guard Shack:

You must make a full stop at the window to explain to the Guard why you are there and needing access to the Main Yard parking. Please show your valid placard and wait for the Guard to give you permission to pass. When in the yard you may only park in spots that have a blue sign or roadway markings that say "Disabled Parking", or in any spots that say "Visitor". (Note: After clearing the Guard Shack take your next left, drive for about 50' to 60' then look left and you will find many Visitor spaces in a row on the back-side of Communications Building 4.)

Everyone else must use the Northgate Parking Lot and make the long haul to the Building 2 Computer Lab.....And that is why you get the 2 hours when you need to come to Edgewater :)  If you do not know where the Northgate Parking lot is, then feel free to call Jazmin or myself to discuss.

Also everyone's situation is different. If you feel that  these instructions do not work for you, again feel free to come to Jazmin and/or myself to discuss.

See you in part tomorrow at time entry,

Paul C.
