City of Idaho Falls
Milling and paving projects continue in Idaho Falls through mid-July
Beginning Monday night, July 7, HK Contractors will resume milling and paving operations in multiple areas of Idaho Falls as part of the city’s ongoing street improvement efforts.
Nighttime construction will begin on Lindsay Boulevard and continue through the intersection of Utah Avenue and Pancheri Drive. To reduce impacts on daytime traffic, most work will occur at night; however, lane restrictions are anticipated during the day. By Wednesday, July 9, the intersection of Utah and Pancheri is expected to be reduced to one lane of through traffic in each direction.
On Saturday night, July 12, a detour is scheduled to be implemented at the intersection of Sunnyside Road and Woodruff Avenue to allow milling and paving work to be completed. The detour will remain in place through Monday morning, July 14.
In addition, milling and paving work will take place during daytime hours on North Boulevard, north of 17th Street. The project will require lane shifts and intermittent closures and is anticipated to be completed the week of July 14–18.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes, follow posted signage, and use caution in work zones. The city appreciates the public’s patience as we work to improve roadways across Idaho Falls.
