Grizzly Avenue Closure Scheduled March 24 for Asphalt Paving at Battle Creek Canal
On Tuesday, March 24, Grizzly Avenue at the Battle Creek Canal will close to allow crews to pave asphalt following the recent culvert installation.
Beginning at 8 a.m., Grizzly Avenue will be closed at the Battle Creek Canal between Claredot Drive and the Skyline High School parking lot entrance on Grizzly Avenue. Work is anticipated to be completed and the road reopened by 5 p.m.
Drivers traveling north or south on Grizzly should use Skyline Drive and W 17th S to travel around the work zone. Detour signage will be posted to guide motorists. Pancheri Drive will remain open, and Claredot Drive will be accessible from Pancheri Drive for local traffic only. Residents in the immediate area will continue to have access to their homes throughout the work.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and exercise caution near crews and equipment.
