City of Idaho Falls
Water Division to Replace Mainline Valves at D Street and E Street on March 8
On Sunday, March 8, beginning at 5 a.m., the Water Division will replace two mainline valves at the intersections of D Street and Capital Avenue and E Street and Capital Avenue. Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. the same day.
These valves are no longer functioning properly and are being replaced to help maintain water service to more customers during planned construction on E Street. By completing this work in advance, the city can limit future service interruptions and improve overall reliability throughout the project area.
Motorists should expect temporary lane restrictions and are encouraged to use caution in the area.
Residents directly affected by a temporary water outage will receive hand-delivered notices in advance.
We appreciate your patience as we complete this important infrastructure improvement.
