Emergency Railroad Track Repairs on Mercury Avenue Begin Dec. 11
Beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, Eastern Idaho Railroad will begin emergency repairs on a broken rail line on Mercury Avenue just off Lindsay Boulevard.
Mercury Avenue will be fully closed at the tracks to all traffic. The road will remain open up to the closure point, and access to the building at 1275 Mercury will be maintained. Access to the west side of Mercury Avenue will be available from Wardell Street.
Work is expected to take two to three days to complete.
Drivers should watch for posted signs, use alternate routes, and exercise caution near crews and equipment in the area.
