Provincetown Shelter Remains Open & Able to Accept Those in Need | Eversource Continues Working on Power Restoration
Due to the ongoing power outages in town, Town Hall will be closed on Thursday, February 26.
Trash/recycling pickup is cancelled on Thursday. The Transfer Station will also be closed on Thursday, February 26.
We continue to urge Eversource to work as quickly as they can to restore power townwide. We appreciate your patience and are doing everything we can to expedite their progress.
In the meantime, we remain here to help and appreciate everyone coming together to support friends and neighbors.
The Shelter at the VMCC at 2 Mayflower St. remains open and able to accept residents in need. The Provincetown Police and Fire departments are able to provide transports to those needing access to the shelter. Those needing assistance should contact the Provincetown Police Non-Emergency Line at 508-487-1212.
The Charging/Warming Station will be open at the VMCC tomorrow, Thursday, February 26 from 9am-6pm.
Everyone is welcome at the Town’s Shelter at the VMCC. No one is being turned away or asked any immigration/citizenship questions. No ID necessary.
